Château Béchereau
Château Béchereau is a family-run business built on generations of winemaking using traditional, manual techniques to produce quality wines.
Sitting on Bordeaux's right bank across three appellations, Château Béchereau's 25 hectares of vines are rooted in the rich clay and limestone soils that give the region its character.
Many of the vines are up to 40 years old, proving that quality always stands the test of time.
Meet the Winemaker
Joël Dupas is the accomplished winemaker behind Château Béchereau.
Working alongside Michel Rolland's oenology laboratory, the same consultants advising some of Bordeaux's most celebrated Premier Cru Châteaux, Joël brings a level of precision and care into every bottle of wine he produces.
His approach is hands-on in every sense of the word, from manually breaking and submerging the grape caps to working in the vineyards, ageing, blending and making the wines, Joël is uniquely involved in every step of the process.
Sustainable legacy
Traditional winemaking methods, replanting and using an old cellar with a naturally cold temperature mean sustainability is a natural part of life at Château Béchereau.
Joel is carrying a family legacy forward to the next generation with the same dedication and commitment to quality that has defined Château Béchereau for decades.
