Bertani
For over 150 years, Bertani has built a reputation for unmistakable quality wines and a deep respect for the winemaking tradition.
Located in one of Italy’s prestigious vineyard regions, the Veronese zone, Bertani prides itself on its respect for the individual terroirs it cultivates and its commitment to maintaining biodiversity.
Meet the Winemaker
Bertani is led by 3 main values: respect, coherence and patience. Every step in their process revolves around these ideas to make sure compromise is never an option.
Instead, their deep understanding of winemaking, their vineyards and their non-invasive ecological practices ensure every bottle is a true reflection of where it comes from.
Nowhere is that patience clearer than in their Amarone wine, where the finest hand-picked grapes are dried naturally for up to 100 days before vinification and then aged for seven years in large Slavonian oak barrels.
Innovation with integrity
Respect is an integral value at Bertani, clearly seen by the way they continually review processes and techniques to ensure they keep moving forward while maintaining the quality they’ve become known for.
That spirit goes right back to the beginning in 1857 when founders Gaetano and Giovan Battista Bertani became renowned throughout Europe for their innovative winemaking techniques and the quality of their wines.
Recognition came with awards and celebrations at prestigious events, with Soave Bertani being the only white wine served at the coronation luncheon for King George VI in 1937.
The techniques the family champions help shape the wines the region is celebrated for today. The result is a strong range of diverse wines that honour over 150 years of history in every bottle.
